Hello, I REALLY enjoyed your website! I live in Port Charlotte near the Myakka river. I was wondering if your museum is oen to the public and if so, what days and hours? Thankyou,

Karl,

Your gallery is unbelievable. I have never seen such amazing finds in such

numbers. My best friend and I grew up in Gainesville and have been looking for

fossils in local creeks since we were kids. It has taken me a lifetime to

amass the numbers of sharks teeth, etc. that you show from just one or two of

your dives.

We just made our first trip to the Santa Fe yesterday, trying to broaden our

search hobby in the direction of the larger rivers. Unfortunately, we have no

idea what we are doing, and didn't find anything. I was wondering if you might

offer us a suggestion, location, or technique or two (or three) that might get

us started in the right direction. We aren't scuba trained yet, but working on

it.

Thanks for the great site.

ML

Are there any places in the Tampa Bay/Pinellas County area to fossil hunt? Are there any places to find Indian relics? Would snorkeling or beach hunting be successful for either one?

Thanks, Jim

HI, I'm a collector from Texas and Ive just gotten onto the Web. Ive never seen pictures of the Florida points, other than black and white in the Overstreet book, and am amazed at the quality. From the pictures on your website, it looks like you can just pick up the points off the bottom of the creeks and rivers. How do they end up in the creeks? Do they erode out of the banks? Or were they deposited before the creeks came through? I live in central Texas and if you find a point in the creek bed its been beat to heck by the rocks. Anyway thanks for your time.

Greetings

I was surfing the net for info on the Peace River and fossil hunting and came across your site. You have a wonderful site and thanks for sharing pictures of those fantastic finds! Very interesting! Thanks again!

Hello!

While searching for Florida fossils websites I stumbled onto your dazzling Paleo Florida site and I want to tell you how much I have enjoyed my virtual visit... You have an amazing points/arrowheads collection and your high quality photography gives justice to the amazing shapes and colors of these little gems! Congratulations! Since childhood I have dreamed to find a real Indian arrowhead and I have walked many miles  my eyes to the ground but without ever finding one... Being a relatively new fossil collector I now understand that one has to dig or dive and seriously "hunt" to find fossils* - and artifacts.
Do you sell some of your findings? I would be interested... if I can afford your price. I have always hesitated in purchasing from dealers; there are so many reproductions and I wouldn't know who to trust. You seem to genuinely enjoy this hobby and its treasures.
Hoping to have the pleasure to hear from you, and with best regards,
Annie
*...except for the fossils found on beaches.

Just wanted to let you know that I visited your web site.......oh MY.......really enjoyed looking at all your "stuff".  It was really nice meeting both of you and maybe I'll see you another trip.  Thank you again for the scraper.....will think of you everytime I look at it. Had a long trip home, my plane in Cleveland was delayed an hour so I didn't get to bed till 1 AM.  Still recuperating......but it was worth every pain!!

I have a feeling a lot of them are going to be asking their parents to take them fossiling over spring break. I look forward to viewing more of your adventures. really great site and pics. surface hunter/ creek walker
here from n.e. ark ,on crowleys ridge. thinking of trying
my hand at river diving in some of the local rivers, spring,
eleven point, current, white, and maybe in n.w. ark, buffalo,
and mulberry rivers. any suggested reading, sites, or advice
would be much appericated. by the way , i am a P.A.D.A. certified
diver, with minimal experience, the lakes here do not have
very good visibility, so i quit diving, but have done a lot of
snorkeling, some of it in rivers. thanks, gwilson

Hey guys, great site! I recently stopped plumbing (for a little while) to hunt points on my dad's place here in vernon parish louisiana.I started about hunting about two years ago and have had some succssess.I have about34 complete points from paleo to historic. The earliest being the two plainveiws, three san patrice and two of those are agatized palmwood, misc, scrapers, preforms and knifes.I really enjoy hunting for them.I find them in a sand pit after the rains, and on the hill behind our workshop!Seems we have alot in common with the plumbing and all.I live about 10 mile from teledo-bend dam and we have a house on vernon lake, its about 5000 acres and there are many places to hunt when its low. well i really like your site and hope to have one of my own soon.write back when you can i know you stay busy.I may need to go to work over someday who knows?

WOW!!! Very impressive in more ways than one.
Having recently developed a renewed interest in indian
artifact hunting (land surface only for me), I found your
site. Extremely intriguing and fascinating. Have enjoyed it
immmensley. I would love to have one of the prehistoric
sharks teeth, do you sell any of your finds?
I enjoy the scenic shots as well and thought the protruding
rock formation looked like a snakes head.

Thanks again, GREAT site.
